Michael Aidoo, who was recently selected as a Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship finalist, has added another honor to his resume.

He will have a summer Internship in Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) a program at the College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University in Corvallis

The internship is made possible through the National Science Foundation. Michael will be working with Dr. Rick Colwell, who will provide him with the outline for his research.

His internship includes a stipend of $600 a week for the nine-week program ($5400) which runs from June 13 to August 12, 2022, roundtrip travel to Oregon, and on-campus housing during the internship period including $700 prepaid campus dining.

At BCC, Michael has generously donated his time as a tutor in the Department of Chemistry, Earth Science & Environmental Science.
