BCC students are invited to apply to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a $9,000 internship ($6,000 in Summer 2022 and $1,500 in Fall and Spring 2023.through the NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technology (CESSRST).

This year-long scholarly and research experience is rich, comprehensive, and unique. It is exclusively designed for BCC students, particularly those interested in pursuing graduate education in geosciences.

The goals of the program are to provide a rich and comprehensive research experience in satellite and ground-based remote sensing; support students interested in STEM careers; and inspire them to acquire advanced STEM degrees.
