The Internship Recap & Insights – Student Panel event, held September 17th, 2024, offered attending students firsthand insight into the summer internship experience. Hosted by ASAP & Blackstone LaunchPad, panelists covered topics such as strategies for searching and applying for internships, preparing for interviews, and building professional relationships, as well as advice for future interns, touching on what they wish they had known before starting their internships.

The event kicked off with an introduction of the diverse group of panelists – including Yangel Aguilera (Computer Science), Williana Cuevas (Business Administration), Victor Carrion Jimenez (Mathematics), and Krishta Fernandez (Paralegal/Legal Studies) – who described the companies they interned with, their roles and responsibilities and the challenges they encountered along the way.

Each panelist highlighted both the “peak” and “pit” of their summer experience, offering a balanced and authentic view of their internships, and gave practical tips on how to navigate difficult situations.
