As the beginning of the Spring 2023 semester is a couple of days away, so is Week of Welcome (WOW). Week of Welcome will have both virtual spaces and on-campus locations staffed by BCC faculty and staff partnering up with BCC student representatives to welcome all of our new students and welcome back our continuing student body. Please use the links below to volunteer for this spring’s Week of Welcome from Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 until Wednesday February 1st, 2023.  Please sign-up to volunteer today! To sign up just include your name and department in the available slots on the Excel Sheet you choose to sign up for. More information about Week of Welcome:

There will be a virtual Zoom room where students can pop in and out with general inquiries on student support services. On-Campus Week of Welcome will have stations in the lobbies of Roscoe Brown Student Center, Meister Hall, North Hall Library and Colston Hall to assist students navigate the campus grounds by directing students to the correct buildings or offices.

Week of Welcome In-Person/On-Campus Attendant:

As an On-Campus Attendant you will:                                                                                                                   

  • Assist students with their inquiries.
  • Share information from the department or student organization you are representing.
  • Be knowledgeable of the BCC campus grounds or map.
  • Engage with the students with a positive attitude.

Week of Welcome Virtual Attendant:

As a Virtual Attendant you will:                                                                                                              

  • Assist students with their inquiries.
  • Share information from the department or student organization you are representing.
  • Be knowledgeable of the BCC website: Primarily how to access CUNYFirst, Blackboard, Email, Degreeworks, Starfish, Financial Aid, Student Section for other Student Support Services.
  • Engage with the students with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Zoom.

Sign up Deadline: Tuesday, January 24th by 2:00PM. Once everyone’s signed up, the finalized schedules and supporting documents to assist you during your session whether it’s in person or virtual will be emailed by end of business day on January 24th.
