Yolanda Rodriguez to Serve as BCC’s Green Action Challenge Grant Project Director
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Yolanda Rodriguez as Project Director of BCC’s Green Action Challenge Grant. In this role, Rodriguez will manage the grant’s initiatives across campus and in the community.
BCC was the first recipient of the $1 million dollar grant sponsored by the Bronx Economic Development Corporation and The New York Power Authority, which aims to reduce the campus carbon footprint and offer workforce programs focusing on sustainability.
Rodriguez returns to BCC after managing the day-to-day operations of BCC’s Center for Sustainable Energy more than a decade ago. Since then, her career has included more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning, project management and development. Through her work in government, education and urban affairs across the New York area, Rodriguez has worked extensively on engaging underserved populations.
