The SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) celebrated its 39th Annual Commencement Ceremony on June 10 at our historic Gould Memorial Library. Family members, friends, faculty, staff and community leaders gathered to honor the achievements of the Class of 2026 and the perseverance that brought graduates to this milestone.

The ceremony recognized graduates who completed tuition-free programs in career training, workforce development, high school equivalency preparation, and college readiness. Among the speakers were SUNY Bronx EOC Executive Director Dr. Ronnie Hector, New York State Assembly Member Chantel Jackson and Bronx Community College President Dr. Larry D. Johnson, Jr., who congratulated graduates and encouraged them to continue pursuing their goals with confidence and purpose.

“You have all gone through very different trials and tribulations to get here,” President Johnson said. “The best is still yet to come.”

Bronx Community College and SUNY Bronx EOC share a longstanding partnership focused on expanding access to education, workforce training, and career opportunities for Bronx residents. Congratulations to the SUNY Bronx EOC Class of 2026!
