BCC Students Join Turkey Giveaway Events
The spirit of giving was alive and well at Bronx Community College last week as students from the Male Empowerment Network, in collaboration with the Hip Hop Club and the Office of Collaborative Education, partnered with the Office of Councilwoman Pierina Sanchez to bring holiday cheer to local families.
Over the course of three events, BCC students volunteered their time and energy to help distribute thousands of turkeys:
- Tuesday, November 18: During BCC Homecoming, 50 turkeys were given out in the RBSC Cafeteria.
- Friday, November 21: Students assisted in distributing 1,000 turkeys at Tremont Avenue and Jerome Avenue.
- Saturday, November 22: Volunteers helped distribute 3,000 turkeys at St. James Park, 2550 Jerome Avenue.
These efforts reflect BCC’s commitment to community engagement and student leadership. Thank you to all who participated in making this holiday season brighter for Bronx families.
