Associate Professor and Chair, Department of African and African American Studies, and Director of African Immigration Research, the Bronx African American History Project (BAAHP) at Fordham University

Dr. Edward’s research and teaching interest areas include African immigration to the United States, African women’s experiences in conflict and post-conflict settings, and education and human rights. Her regional focus is South Sudan and Sudan, especially the experience of women refugees. She is the author of numerous publications on these topics, including Sudanese Women Refugees: Transformations and Future Imaginings (2007).
