Clapping, cheering, and signs held aloft at the Fall 2025 Faculty and Staff ConvocationFall 2025 Faculty & Staff Convocation kicked off with purpose, power and pride, with every division and department across BCC convening at Gould Memorial Library to bring welcome back energy to the day. In a spirited roll call led by Associate Director, Office of Student Life Tiffany Dubon, each department rose as their name was called, greeted by cheers and applause from their colleagues.

President Dr. Larry D. Johnson, Jr. took the stage to deliver his keynote, Charting the Future: The Bronx Renaissance 2031, unveiling his 100-Day Roadmap – a bold plan rooted in his guiding principles of Belonging, Collaboration, and Communication.

Dr. Johnson emphasized that the Roadmap is not about replacing the great work already accomplished, but about sharpening and amplifying it. “It’s time to reimagine who we are, who we serve, and how we can do it better,” he said. “We cannot grow as an institution unless we work together. We must break the silos.”

The day ended on a high note as faculty and staff gathered on the quad to form a massive “BCC” – an unforgettable moment of unity and pride that captured the spirit of BCC’s theme, “Redefine What’s Possible.” – before heading to a barbecue outside Meister Hall.
