Youth Solutions for Up righting an Upside-Down World
Amadou Diallo was unjustly killed by four NYPD officers on February 4, 1999. Amadou’s tragedy ignited the movement for police reform across the United States. The Amadou Diallo Youth Arts and Sci-Tech is a day-long celebration of the life and success of Amadou. Through panel discussion and hands-on activities youth participants will develop solutions for social, technological, and health challenges facing our communities. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the Amadou Diallo Youth Arts and Sci-Tech Day will present Youth Solutions for Up righting an Upside-Down World. The event aims to ask youth to come up with possible solutions to some of the problems impacting all of us. We are faced with punitive immigration, predatory health care, poor education, misogynist entertainment, and inhumane mental illness services.
