MSCHE Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation

This document describes seven standards that institutions seeking accreditation with MSCHE are expected to demonstrate compliance with. Each standard is expressed in one or two sentences and is then followed by criteria that specify characteristics or qualities that encompass the standard. The criteria are used holistically to evaluate how an institution meets MSCHE’s standards.

This document provides a list of minimum expectations for the types of evidence that an institution must collect, analyze, and submit as part of the self-reflective accreditation review process. The list of evidence is based on an analysis of actual institutional submissions and reflects the evidence that institutions and peer evaluators have found most relevant and useful during accreditation activities.
