Dear College Community,

Welcome to the start of the 2025–26 academic year at Bronx Community College!

Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of engaging with many of you, as well as external partners, to listen and learn about what makes BCC so extraordinary. These conversations will continue throughout the fall and spring, because our story is still being written—and every voice matters.

This year marks an exciting moment in our journey. Alongside our path toward reaccreditation, we are also embarking on the development of our next five-year strategic plan—Bronx Renaissance 2031. Both efforts are critical opportunities to strengthen our foundation and boldly envision the future of our college.

What inspires me most is that every one of you plays a vital role in this moment. BCC has a proud history and a tradition of excellence—but now is our time to reimagine who we are, to amplify our story, and to show the Bronx, the nation, and beyond why BCC is truly a crown jewel of higher education. I am continually energized by the innovation I see across departments and by your unwavering commitment to student success.

You will also begin to notice visible improvements on our campus—from new signage to enhanced landscaping—that reflect the beauty and vibrancy of our community. These changes are just the beginning of ensuring that every student and visitor experiences the brilliance that lives here.

I also want to acknowledge an important topic on the minds of many—food services. We remain committed to providing healthy, affordable dining options for our campus community. The Bronco Café in the North Hall & Library lobby is open and ready to welcome you. As we prepare to open long-awaited facilities, our leadership team is also identifying interim solutions to support our students and employees. This is truly a remarkable time to be a Bronco. I am honored to serve as your seventh president, and together we will continue building a legacy of innovation, belonging, and excellence. BCC will be known as a place where students thrive, employees flourish, and our community takes pride in all that we accomplish.
