Special Academic Success Programs
Math Start is a low cost alternative to remedial (developmental) math classes at Bronx Community College. Our program assists incoming CUNY students whose scores on the CUNY Assessment Tests indicate that they would benefit further instruction in Math.
CLIP is an intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program for CUNY students who need to improve their academic English language skills.
Start out stronger in college by improving your reading, writing, and/ or math skills. CUNY Start will help reduce the amount a student spend in required remedial "catch up" classes.
ASAP is designed to help motivated community college students earn their degrees as quickly as possible.
College Discovery was established to provide comprehensive academic support to assist capable students who otherwise might not be able to attend college due to their educational and financial circumstances.
The Honors Program is for students with high aspirations and a strong commitment to learning. Honors courses combine an emphasis on interactive classroom settings, critical thinking, library research and strong writing skills.
The overall goal of the Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program is to infuse more writing as well as different types of writing activities into subjects across the curriculum.
The CUNY Coordinated Undergraduate Education initiative at Bronx Community College has as its objective to assist students in the completion of their required remedial courses so they can make a timely transition to their major courses.
