Future Teachers’ Club

The Future Teachers’ Club, formerly the Family Literacy and Education Society, has played an active role on campus for the past 26 years. The student club is composed of approximately 60 students per academic year. Students network with each other, their classmates, and from time to time with other campus clubs.

The club disseminates pertinent information about the department’s student support services, educational programs, and career opportunities. Members of the club participated in a CUNY-wide conference hosted by pre-service education trainees from the various colleges within the university that have education programs. Each year the Future Teachers’ Club sponsors Education Day on our campus.
