  2. The Department of Workforce Development and Continuing Education will be following CUNY’s Summer Schedule of a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday, CLOSED FRIDAYS) beginning June 13-August 15, 2025.  We will resume a 5-day work week beginning the week of August 18, 2025.

Child Development Associate (CDA)

The Child Development Associate program is designed for individuals who are eager to work with young children in early childhood settings. The Career Path Teaching Assistant Program in partnership with the Office of Workforce Development and Continuing Education offers the Child Development Associate (CDA) 120 hours of training and portfolio development which are required for the CDA credential. The CDA credential is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education which sets forth a core of competency standards which guides early professionals as they work toward becoming qualified teachers of young children.
