DeDra Y. Polite, MSW
Ms. DeDra Y. Polite has worked in the field of social work and human services for the past 20 years. Throughout the years she has developed a lengthy professional resume in the areas of:
- Program Development and Implementation, with a strong emphasis on Administration and Direct Care Services.
- Social service delivery systems serving a diverse population in the private as well as public sectors.
- Diversity and inclusiveness.
As the Student Life Manager for the Access Resource Center at the Bronx Community College (BCC), Ms. Polite works to help students to address barriers affecting their ability to complete their education. She is a strong and committed advocate for student success and ensures that students receive the highest quality service possible.
Ms. Polite has a MSW degree from Hunter College and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The College of New Rochelle.

Raine brings 20 years of Business Management experience. She assists students with a wide variety of support and resources. She is inspired by the hardworking students at BCC. Raine is one of our Carroll and Milton Petrie Emergency Grant and SNAP experts, who is more than happy in helping students to see if they meet the criteria. Raine connects students to internal and external resources and supports students in finding stability during crisis situations.
Raine is passionate about helping students reach their goals. Her resiliency in resolving student concerns in an authoritative, discrete and respectful manner has earned her the respect of her colleagues and the campus community. She received her Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Herbert H. Lehman College and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration from Manhattan College.

Tami is one of the smiling faces that will greet you when you enter the Access Resource Center. With over 25 years of experience at BCC, she brings a wealth of knowledge that can enhance the ARC experience for our students. Tami’s knowledge of the campus infrastructure is very instrumental in assisting students in navigating their way around campus. Tami links students with internal and external resources and helps students find stability during crisis they may be experiencing.
For Tami the best part of working with ARC is helping students receive the services they need to remain in school. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Herbert H. Lehman College.
