Student Eligibility

To be eligible for federal and state aid, students must meet all of the following criteria's:

  1. A U.S. citizen, permanent resident or eligible noncitizen.
  2. Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standard for federal student aid programs.
  3. A valid Social Security Number.
  4. A high school or state-approved home school graduate or have a GED or have been home-schooled.
  5. Not be convicted of possessing or selling illegal drugs while receiving financial aid.
  6. Registered for Selective Service if you are a male between the ages of 18 and 25.
  7. Not be in default of a Federal loan or owe an overpayment on a federal grant or Federal Perkins Loan.

Reminder.

You must also:

  1. Enroll in an eligible program of study at the College.
  2. Enroll for at least six credits to be eligible for federal loans.
  3. Certify by signing a FAFSA that you will use any federal student aid funds awarded to you solely for educational purposes.
  4. Certify by signing a FAFSA that you are not in default of any federal student loan and that you do not owe a repayment of any federal student aid grant.
