Online Student Complaint Process

At Bronx Community College, we want all our students to have the best possible educational experience. This includes fully online students, regardless of where they live.

We encourage all students with a complaint to first attempt to resolve the issue with faculty or staff directly. If this has not resolved the issue, students may to reach out to our director of online learning, Dr. Jordi Getman-Eraso at jordi.getman@bcc.cuny.edu. Students may also engage our student ombudsperson, Dr. Stephen Powers at stephen.powers@bcc.cuny.edu.

If a resolution has not been achieved after taking the above steps, students may contact the New York State Department of Education as follows:

New York State Education Department
89 Washington Avenue
Albany, NY 12234
518.474.1551
IHEauthorize@nysed.gov

Please note:

  • The above process is in conformity with guidelines from NC-SARA (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements), of which BCC is a participating institution. For more information regarding the NC-SARA complaint resolution process, please visit https://nc-sara.org/student-complaints
  • BCC does not offer any programs online that lead to licensure.
