Blackboard to Brightspace Migration

The university has purchased Brightspace to replace Blackboard.

A CUNY-wide needs assessment was done and the input from faculty, students and staff was used to choose the next Learning Management System LMS for CUNY.

The CUNY-wide transition to Brightspace will begin in Fall 2023 and end Fall 2025. In Fall 2025 Blackboard will no longer be available CUNY-wide. The campuses are divided into four groups for the transition. BCC is in group two and will move all of its courses to Brightspace in Summer 2024.

All BCC courses will be delivered in Brightspace starting in Summer 2024.
