Womxn Up! is a welcoming, safe, supportive and inclusive space to that serves the needs of womxn in the BCC Community.  We are a home for connection, community, reflection, relaxation and sisterhood (not just cisterhood).

Mission: The BCC Women’s Center will serve as an on-campus resource for outreach and support services addressing the needs of women in the BCC student community. The center will offer programming and materials aimed at creating safety and community for women at BCC. Collaborating with on-campus and off-campus individuals and organizations, the BCC Women’s Center will take a holistic approach to supporting women’s emotional, spiritual, social, academic, and professional growth. The center will be a safe space for all BCC students, supporting inclusiveness and student diversity.

Hours: Monday – Thursday ~ 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday ~ 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
2nd & 4th Saturdays ~ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Goals of the Center

~ In alignment with the College’s strategic plan, the BCC Women’s Center will offer services and referrals to students with the goal of encouraging academic success and retention.
~ By partnering with other campus and community resources, the BCC Women’s Center will provide education and support toward personal student wellbeing, development, and empowerment.
~ The BCC Women’s Center will serve as a central location on campus and first point of contact for BCC students, faculty or staff to receive resources, information, and services specific to those who self-identify as women (both cisgender and transgender).
~ In addition to providing original programming, the BCC Women’s Center will work with departments and clubs on campus to expand, enrich, and promote extant campus programming and resources for women.
~ The physical location of the BCC Women’s Center will not only serve as a safe space for BCC students, but also provide a place for community and relaxation on campus.
~ The BCC Women’s Center will provide leadership opportunities for students through internships, work-study employment, and the development of peer educator groups.
~ The BCC Women’s Center will provide support and assistance on issues related to intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, and domestic difficulties.
~ The BCC Women’s Center will be a child-positive and parenting-positive space, providing resources and community around family issues and concerns.
~ Services, resources, and initiatives spearheaded by the BCC Women’s Center will always be attuned with and responsive to the needs and schedules of the students for whom they are designed.
