COMPTIA A+ Certification Exam Prep Program
Provides learners with a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of computing, covering cybersecurity principles, virtualization and cloud computing, troubleshooting techniques, computer hardware and software, printer technologies, mobile devices and laptops, networking basics, operating systems (Windows OS, macOS, and Linux), and IT help desk support skills, serving as a foundational step for careers in the IT sector and equipping them with the knowledge and competencies required to earn the widely recognized CompTIA A+ certification.
Offered as a special grant from the Perkins Program, this course prepares participants for the CompTIA A+ certification and serves as a pathway to advanced training in Cybersecurity, Networking, Operating Systems, and Cloud Technologies, leading to entry-level IT opportunities.

No prior education or experience is required.
This program is open to all community members of all ages and backgrounds.
It is designed to accommodate students at every level.
Preparing for the certification exam.
Preparing students for success in the exams by training them on practice questions specifically designed to support Continuing Education students at Bronx Community College, with the aim of building the skills and confidence needed to successfully pass the CompTIA certification exam.
Practical Computer Lab Training.
The program offers hands-on training in IT Helpdesk tasks through group and individual lab sessions, covering troubleshooting for hardware, software, networking, operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS), and mobile devices, along with cybersecurity practices and ticketing system use.
Job Market Preparation: Skills, Interview Prep & Job Market Readiness.
The program supports students’ career growth through workshops on resumes and interviews, collaboration with recruiters, participation in job fairs, tailored career plans, and ongoing interview support.
Examinations – Free Exam Support (Free Exam Voucher):
Exam vouchers will be provided, and exam sessions will be arranged in the college’s computer lab for participants who comply with the program’s rules and regulations.
Opportunities for Future Programs:
Outstanding students who successfully pass the exams and comply with the program’s rules will be eligible for future opportunities in advanced tracks such as Networking, Cybersecurity, Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), DevOps, Cybersecurity Analysis, Penetration Testing, Software Development, Programming, AWS Cloud, and more, as these programs become available to our students.
