Early Childhood Center
The Bronx Community College Early Childhood Center is a full service facility serving children 2 to 12 years of age. The Early Childhood Center provides a learning environment in which traditional and contemporary styles of teaching are carefully integrated. The Early Childhood Center is an educational program serving BCC college students who are enrolled on a full or part-time basis. Our center has a low teacher/child ratio. We are licensed by the New York City Department of Health.
The Early Childhood Center provides a caring and nurturing environment where preschoolers can learn and develop through age-appropriate activities. We educate, advocate and provide support and expertise that empowers and enriches students, parents, children, our college community and the early childhood community.
Accreditation of Programs for Young Children
Since 1985, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), an accreditation system, has set professional standards for early childhood education programs and helped families identify high-quality programs for their young children.
To enhance every child's learning experience the Early Childhood Center offers two programs to meet your child's needs, Toddler/Preschool Program and the After School Program. Both programs are taught by loving teachers who have credentials in early childhood education.
