Student Handbook and Planner

The student handbook will be your guide to the academic requirements, support services and resources at BCC.

The student handbook clarifies the standards that should inform your conduct within the College. It sets forth the academic and disciplinary rules that apply to everyone in our community. It also sketches "where to go for what" and "how to ask for help". Life at the College, as anywhere, can be confusing. Remember everyone at BCC wants you to succeed.

New students receive the handbook at either the fall or spring Freshman Convocation program. Continuing students may also receive a free copy, later in the semester, while supplies last.

If you read the student handbook carefully, and use it to find the support you need, you will be well on your way to success at Bronx Community College.

Bronx Community College will confer a degree upon a student who has completed all College requirements towards graduation. However, a student cannot graduate or receive a degree if there are any outstanding financial, academic, or disciplinary matters, which have not been resolved. Any disciplinary action taken by Bronx Community College or CUNY against a student will need to be completed, prior to the conferring of a degree.
