Summer 2026 – Class Schedule

We offer the classes listed below to qualifying NYC public high School juniors and seniors.

Classes will be held in person at Bronx Community College.

Monday through Thursday (in person)

July 6, 2026 – August 6, 2026  10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

This course covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software and advanced concepts such as networking, security, and the responsibilities of an IT professional.  Students who complete this course will be able to describe the internal components of a computer, assemble a personal computer, install an operating system, and troubleshoot using system tools and diagnostic software. Students will also be able to connect to the Internet and share resources in a networked environment.  Topics include Microsoft Windows operating systems, mobile operating systems, macOS, Linux, and client-side virtualization.

Eligibility: 

Be a New York City public high school student entering 11th or 12th grade in September 2026.

Must be interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

Overall high school GPA of 75+,  65+ all completed English and Math courses.

Students must attend an in-person orientation at Bronx Community College on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

July 6, 2026 through August 13, 2026

Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

In this course, students become familiar with the sources and identities of air and water pollutants, the routes of entry of these pollutants into the body, and their harmful effects. Laboratory exercises familiarize students with methods for air, soil, and water analysis.

Eligibility:

NYC public high school juniors and seniors must have a score of 65 or higher on the NYS ELA and one Physical Science Regents Exam (Earth Science, Chemistry, or Physics) and an overall high school average of 75 or higher.

OR

65+ completed English and Science courses and an overall H.S. average of 75+

Students must attend an in-person orientation at Bronx Community College on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
