ELIGIBILITY
Is a citizen or permanent resident or an individual who demonstrate that they are in the U.S. for other than a temporary purpose; from a low-income and potential first-generation household.
- 2/3 of participants: must be low-income and First Generation.
- 1/3 of Participants: must be either low-income only or first-generation only.
Low-Income Individual: an individual from a family whose taxable income for the preceding year did not exceed 150% of the poverty level determined by the Bureau of the Census.
First-Generation: a) an individual both of whose parents did not complete a baccalaureate degree; or b) an individual who resided with and received support from only one parent, and whose only such parent did not complete a baccalaureate degree.
