We provide access to academic publications and research databases to currently enrolled students, faculty members and staff members with active IDs in the CUNY library system.
BCC’s policy is to advise students that it is in their best interest to purchase required textbooks in order succeed and do well in their selected courses, but we also acknowledge that it can be hard at the beginning of the semester to obtain your materials. Faculty have requested that a select few chapters of your textbook be uploaded electronically for your easy use.
You can access these items on and off campus. Electronic course reserves are password protected. After you select your course from the drop down menu, you will be asked to enter your BCC username and password.
Example: john.doe@stu.bcc.cuny.edu (username); JD10453 (password)
The library provides you with access to RefWorks, a citation management software program that is designed to assist you in managing citations, creating bibliographies and citing sources in your papers. Once you create your account, you will be able to access your citations both on and off campus. In most cases, you will be able to download articles with citations directly from library databases and citations from the library catalog, CUNY+ or Onesearch.
When accessing RefWorks from off campus, you may be asked to enter the college code. The BCC code, which is case sensitive, is: RWBronxCommC
