Safely Entering BCC & Vaccine Policy

COVID Testing

The CUNY Board of Trustees has mandated all full- and part-time faculty, all non-teaching instructional staff (which includes, among others, NTAs, CLTs and those in the HEO series), and personnel in the Executive Compensation Plan, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to remain employed by the University, except if a medical exemption, religious exception or reasonable accommodation has been granted.

Anyone entering a CUNY facility for any reason will need to be fully vaccinated or have proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at a CUNY testing site within the past seven days. Information on the testing locations and other frequently asked questions can be found HERE.

To help monitor community spread and conditions in our broader community, CUNY is also selecting individuals based on a random sampling to participate in testing.  Those selected are emailed with a request to test within fourteen (14) days.  If you do not test within fourteen (14) days, or test positive, your BCC Mobile ID will turn red.  Your participation in this testing program is appreciated, and a negative test result from a CUNY testing site is required before access to campus.

Vaccination Verification

Faculty and staff can provide proof of vaccination by logging into the Vaccine Verification module in CUNYfirst. Everyone must take one of two actions before being allowed access onto the campus.

You may:

1. Provide Proof of Vaccination via CUNYfirst

2. Provide Proof of a Negative COVID PCR Test – Weekly

The test must have been administered within the past seven days at one of the 20 site locations, please visit here for location information.
