Applying for your Second Degree:

An applicant for a second degree must complete a
minimum of fifteen (15) additional credits required by the
second degree at BCC. The 15 additional credits required
by the second degree can be completed either before
or after the awarding of the first degree.

• If you have pursued an Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.), your second degree cannot be another Associate in Arts Degree (A.A). BCC policy states students can only pursue one Associate in Arts Degree (A.A). However, you may pursue an Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) and Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) at the College.
• Students must meet with the Chairperson of the major they wish to pursue and have his or her permission to pursue their second degree in the major they desire.
• Students interested in pursuing a second degree at BCC must complete a Second Degree Application.
• Once your Second Degree Application is completed, please submit it to the Registrar’s Office for processing.
