Dr. Alexander Ott Appointed Dean of Curriculum Advancement and Student Achievement
BCC announces the appointment of Dr. Alexander Ott as Dean of Curriculum Advancement and Student Achievement, effective immediately. In his new role, he will lead curriculum innovation and advance student success initiatives across the College.
A longtime BCC leader, Dr. Ott brings more than 20 years of higher education experience and most recently served as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for Curriculum Matters and Academic Programs.
SUNY Bronx EOC Celebrates Class of 2026 at BCC
The SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) celebrated its 39th Annual Commencement Ceremony on June 10 at our historic Gould Memorial Library. Family members, friends, faculty, staff and community leaders gathered to honor the achievements of the Class of 2026.
BCC and SUNY Bronx EOC share a longstanding partnership focused on expanding access to education, workforce training, and career opportunities for Bronx residents.
Advancing Student Success as BCC Nears 70
The Bronx Community College Foundation Board of Directors recently came together to reflect on a year of meaningful progress and look ahead as BCC prepares to celebrate its 70th Anniversary.
Discussions highlighted the impact of initiatives like the College’s Green Action Challenge grant, workforce development, and student engagement in the growing green economy.
The Board also took time to celebrate President Dr. Larry D. Johnson, Jr., recognizing his leadership and commitment to the BCC community.
