Irene Delgado Honored at International Seminar at the United Nations
Bronx Community College celebrates Irene R. Delgado, Ph.D., Director of Career Advancement and Immigrant Success Liaison, for her participation in an international seminar at United Nations Headquarters. During the event, Dr. Delgado received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Communication, the Human Excellence Golden Award and a Citation of Honor.
Froebel Chungata, Esq. Named Chief Diversity Officer at BCC
Bronx Community College welcomes Froebel Chungata, Esq. as its new Chief Diversity Officer. A South Bronx native, Chungata brings more than two decades of experience in law, civil rights, equal opportunity and public service, and will lead efforts to advance diversity, equity and an inclusive campus environment where all members of the BCC community can thrive.
BCC Receives $500,000 NSF Grant to Transform Math and Science Education
Bronx Community College has received a competitive $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to transform teaching and learning in introductory mathematics and biology. The three-year initiative will engage students in collaborative, project-based learning using real-world problems and authentic data—strengthening quantitative literacy, academic achievement, and career readiness.
