Under the leadership of Vice President Eddy Bayardelle, the office links on-campus academic programs to business and industry, alumni, foundations, corporations, government agencies, the media, local schools, and community-based organizations. We are the College’s main philanthropic arm, creating partnerships with public and private donors to secure resources that support essential programs and services for students, faculty, staff and the community. We are also responsible for increasing the College’s visibility through social media, the press and the development of effective marketing campaigns.
Eddy Bayardelle, Ph.D.
Vice President for Advancement, Communications and External Relations
The BCC Foundation was established in 1985 to build an endowment fund which can provide investment income, thereby enabling us to maintain a level of excellence beyond that provided by tax dollars.
We continue our record of excellence by providing support for student scholarships, faculty research, program development, community education and cultural enrichment.
Development & Alumni Relations
We encourage alumni to be lifelong stewards and participants in the BCC community through service and leadership.
Government & External Relations
We serve as the liaison to the local, state, and federal government. Our focus is to create opportunities through which the college can engage with elected officials and community leaders to advocate for support.
Grants and Research
We are the one-stop shop for grant development and contract implementation. The Partnerships Director oversees the office and serves as the campus representative to the CUNY Research Foundation.
Communications & Marketing
We oversee the development of all publications representing the BCC, including both internal and external communications (print, email, multimedia). We also manage media relations, and marketing and advertising campaigns. In coordination with IT, we manage the website and all other digital media for the college.
