Math Start is an accelerated 8-week intensive remedial math program that prepares you for college success by actualizing your full math potential. In a social, collaborative learning environment, you will access the support you need to increase your understanding of math so that you can meet CUNY’s proficiency standards and thrive as a college student. In addition, Math Start participants attend a weekly college success seminar to help develop your academic identity and learn about careers and campus life.

In just 8 weeks you will:

• Become more prepared for credited math courses and college
• Receive two opportunities to meet CUNY’s proficiency standards in math
• Save tuition and financial aid dollars for credit courses

Math Start costs only $35 and includes:

• All course materials
• Free monthly MTA MetroCards
• Small class sizes with instructor and tutor support

MATH Start is offered at the start of every Fall and Spring Semesters. The program also offers Summer Sessions. During the Fall and Spring Semesters, the daytime program runs Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm with select Fridays required. The evening program runs Monday-Thursday from 5:45pm-9:45pm. During the Summer Sessions, the daytime program runs Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm. There is no evening program during the Summer time. Please contact the Main Office for Program Dates.
