Performance Workshop
April 3, 2025
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Sage Hall 100D
Guest Presenter: Prometheus Br’er
Prometheus Br’er–is an organizer and interdisciplinary writer from the Bronx, New York. All of his work springs from the same core values: fearless truth and loyalty to the working class. He asks how the activism of Black radicals of the 19th and 20th centuries constitutes what he calls “blues pedagogy.” Whether in his academic writing, or in his forthcoming poetry book, he is interested in the way Black cultural education is the key to revolution in the United States. He will research this topic as he pursues his Phd in Black studies.
