Mission Statement

Who we are

The Registrar’s Office is under the jurisdiction of the Office of Enrollment Management. Our mission is to provide superior customer service to all students of Bronx Community College; and to our sister office of Student Development, the office of Academic Affairs, the Office of the President, the Offices of the City University of New York and various external agencies.

What we do
The primary functions of the Registrar’s Office include:

  • Registration
  • Scheduling
  • Preliminary Graduation Check, Degree Certification
  • Registration Reconciliation, Residency Changes, Refund/Liability, Return of Title IV
  • Transfer Evaluations
  • Readmission
  • Student Record Maintenance/Updating, Student Record Verifications, Transcripts, Withdrawals, Grade Reporting
  • Preparation of College-Wide Reports

What are our goals

  • To maintain student records with the student record system, SIMS, from the point of full admission into the College until graduation
  • To assure timeliness in relaying pertinent information to the students, accountability for the maintenance of student records and confidentiality in the maintenance of student records
  • To provide statistical information on student’s academic performance, student enrollment to our sister offices, Academic Affairs, Office of Institutional Research, CUNY and to the Committee on Academic Standing
  • Verification of student enrollment information to external agencies
