The mission of the Office of Career Development (CD) is to provide Bronx Community College (BCC) students with quality career development services. The staff is committed to providing educational and career planning tools designed to help students acquire internship and employment opportunities that support the continuation of their educational and career planning goals.
The most talented students tend to seek out those companies that have an established presence on campus. Recognizing today’s challenges with in-person meetings, we will ensure the widest possible exposure of your organization’s job and internship opportunities through our on-line student announcement system, social media, and the college broadcast systems. We also offer several recruitment options.
Students are better prepared to interview with employers when they have a connection to the employer through information sessions that provide insight into an organization’s mission, work culture, career opportunities, and hiring process. Employers can schedule a virtual information session by sending a request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information/Recruitment Tabling is an informal way to meet students. Tables are usually set up in the lobby of Colston Hall or in Roscoe Brown Student Center Cafeteria area, both of which are high traffic areas. Bring your table banner, company literature, and job descriptions, etc. For companies with multiple openings or positions not requiring a specific major, this method can offer the widest outreach.
We will pre-screen candidates based on your requirements and do all the scheduling, leaving you free to concentrate on interviewing. This option works best for jobs with very specific requirements.
Career and Internship Fairs
Employers are able to meet, interview, and provide students and alumni with information about careers, internships, and employment opportunities at these highly anticipated events. Our upcoming industry-based career fairs will be virtual again this year and we welcome your participation.
Symplicity is an online career services management system that provides employers/recruiters with a platform to post jobs and internships and recruit qualified candidates. By joining our platform, you receive a direct connection to our students and receive priority notification of upcoming events. The services are free of charge.
