About Honors Contracts

An Honors Contract gives both students and faculty in a non-honors section the exciting opportunity to do honors-level work.

Students can work on an honors contract with your course instructor in a non-honors course if the following criteria is met:

  • 3.2 or higher GPA*
  • 9 or more college credits*
  • Obtained the course instructor’s approval
  • Submitted a completed honors contract form

*In exceptional circumstances, a student who does not meet these guidelines may, in consultation with the Honors Program Coordinators and the instructor, be approved for an honors contract.

Honors Contracts are due by the seventh week of the semester.

Students and their course instructor must both complete and submit an online contract.

Students can access the contract by clicking on the following link: BCC Honors Contract: Student

Course instructors can access the contract by clicking on the following link: BCC Honors Contract: Instructor

Students receiving a B+ or higher in both the course and the honors project will receive an honors credit notation on their official transcript.
